hyperbole at it's best...:rotfl

Jar Jar was the culprit, or should I say G. Lucas for injecting that character into SW lore....

Jar Jar was the obvious problem, but the race was too long and their Journey Beneath The Sea was also gratuitous...I remember watching a "making of" for ROTJ or maybe the whole OT on television when I was still a young kid, and someone -- Lucas maybe but I can't remember -- pointed out that earlier Sci-Fi films spent overlong dwelling on alien landscapes and scenery, whereas Star Wars storytelling was "very rapid" -- at that point there was an immediate cut to the Rebel Fleet massing at Sullust. Seems they lost sight of that during the PT era.

I could spend all day picking TPM apart but I've been there and done that.

This Maul figure impressed me as soon as I saw production photos, and continues to do so. It's always interesting to me (and frustrating) the way Hot Toys will seem to arbitrarily mail it in on one figure or other and then randomly bring their A-Game. You never know what they're gonna serve up on any given release.

Without having seen it in person, I think this figure is outstanding and will stand the test of time much like Keaton Batman, diecast Mark VI and a few others you could name off.

Yeah there was a real efficiency to the storytelling in the OT that was completely missing from the prequels, as Lucas went on way too many long detours that seemed to exist mostly just to show off his flashy new CGI.

Well, he had a one-note idea (Anakin's turn to the dark side) which he decided to stretch into 3 sequels. That's the real problem to start. If all his ideas were condensed into one big movie for the PT, it might have forced him to be more economical and a lot of the bad dialogue would have disappeared.

Now this forced "trilogy" habit has become a real disservice to the Star Wars galaxy. The one-offs fair much better as expected.

Your missing the point. PT was designed for selling merchandise....toys, toys and everything else!!! You don't believe me, we are all here waiting for a Maul figure 20 years after filling GL or maybe just Disney pockets!! GL your brilliant...we all on the other hand are lame for still being suckered in! :dunno

Bingo! The toys made way $$$ than movies. We still buy merchandise from movies we don’t love because... well... I can’t speak for anyone but I am a sucker.

After watching a few unboxing videos I am not all that impressed with the speeder on the dx17. I was planning on ordering the dx17 but now I might change it to the dx16 as I am not sure if I would use the speeder.

Unless the speeder is going to be a focal point of your display, I think the Hasbro version is suitable enough to be background filler without paying a hefty price.

I'm deffo in for the DX16. No space for the Speeder. I have very little love for the PT but Maul was the best part and the design is so Star Wars...

Get at me dog. Review coming tonight. I also do a comparison of the HT DX to Sideshow’s Version. [emoji3166]

Cool review.
And indeed, unfutzed as it stood there, Sideshow Maul holds its own against HT Maul easily.

Thanks!

360p doesn't equal 4K

Lol. Unfortunately I can’t control the limit of the device that you are utilizing. When a video is recently uploaded, it also takes YouTube A while to process high-resolution videos, especially 4K. Full resolution for some folks, depending on your technology, and even the location of your person (meaning country, state, etc.), May not be available for hours. One prime example, is trying to stream 4K from cell phones. For many folks, your data plan, and even sometimes Wi-Fi, will limit you to only 1080P. So like I said, I have no control, I can’t help you out there brother.
