I removed the t-shirt. You have to snip the stitches around his crotch, but the long sleeve fits better on his body without it.

Thanks for the advice. I finally got the long sleeve on the other day and it definitely looks great. Here's a quick phone photo on my display case:

Nice set up.

Still don't get why they made DD shorter than Punisher...they're both the same height on the show. In terms of 1/6th size he's the same height as Tom Holland, which ain't the case in real life.

So I guess most people are happy with the stock Punisher body? I know Bernthal isn't a super huge guy, but it still feels to me like the shoulders need to be a bit broader at the very least...

Maybe just because the head seems a bit large?

I slipped some cut to shape pieces of cotton discs under his t-shirt sleeves to broaden his shoulders just a tad. It was the balance I was looking for.

Wow, just checked the prices on this one. When did it shoot up so high? I bought him the second it went up for pre-order since I love both The Punisher and Jon Bernthal. Crazy prices and it looks like there are only a few on eBay. One of my favorite figures. I posed him day one and have never changed him up.

Finally managed to get my hands on one and for the price of 300$. Such an amazing figure and awesome series. Too bad it's being cancelled.

Sucks the jacket stained the arms on mine. I had to buy a replacement body and switch everything over. The jacket stays off now.

Oh wow, didn't realize that was an issue. Glad I never really liked the coat on him anyway.

Now that I have it in hand, it's clear that the head is definitely on the larger side, so I might have to see if I can find a bigger body somewhere.

I've been wondering this lately...but does HT cheap out on material/dyes, which is what causes color bleeding? Or is this something we don't experience ever because we don't wear the same clothes every single day?

Like if I was to wear a tight, bright red shirt for an entire year without taking it off, would the color eventually bleed onto my skin?

Humans shed a lot of skin cells. Even if it was happening you prob wouldn’t be able to tell.

I think it's just the large amount of dye they use to color their fabrics, which they want to look as bold and colorful as possible so the figures will look their best.

And unfortunately that just doesn't mix well with the plastic bodies and heads they also like to use.

Superficially it might could transfer some, but the properties of epithelial cells, which make up your skin, are very different than that of vinyl used in sculpts. But a combination of the recurrent replacement of your skin (90% of dust is skin!) would push it out faster than you'd ever notice. The reason that tattoos work is that they place the ink below the consistently regenerated layer of your skin, at the lowest point. That's why tattoos don't just disappear.

A better analogy to fabric dye transfer to human skin would be a henna tattoo. The dyes used saturate your to-be regenerated cells with pigment. But come the cycles of life, those will inevitably be sloughed away, tattoo included. But whatever is transferred from clothes (if any) is so superficial it's likely lost throughout the day.

When it comes to vinyl, it's a fixed polymer structure. Now I don't have much experience with materials science, but we know that PVC is a strong plastic once the appropriate additives are placed into it's molecular structure. Whatever pigment that gets absorbed by PVC likely ingrains itself hard within the structural chains on a molecular level, maybe even displacing some of the PVC's atoms itself, it's hard to say without knowing the structure of dyes are used.

But what that comes down to is that a dye is a dye, and it's going to cling to what is more favorable on a molecular level. For whatever reason, PVC has attractive properties that dyes favor, so direct contact 'draws' it out. People like to blame HT for staining, but this has more to do with the chemistry of dark pigment molecules, I'd say. And even as an extension, the fabrics used. You'll note that dye transfer doesn't happen much with synthetic fibers because those fibers are colored within their structure when produced anyway. Cotton or natural fabrics are treated to achieve vibrancy.

Now, does that mean HT couldn't go the extra mile and wash dye out that hasn't bound to the fabric? Or "set" it through various means? Absolutely not, they could do that. But I'm not so sure that would necessarily fix the problem entirely either. But on a basic level, they'll fight molecules more than anything.

Yeah, I've tried the head on a couple other bodies and it has a bobblehead effect on all of them. I'm not too concerned with matching Bernthal's current physique so I might have to go with a bigger muscular body to make the head look okay.

Got this yesterday for cheap, never saw the show but looks like a fun figure to pose. Also got Daredevil with him and a casual Punisher for free. Going to be a fun weekend.

Nice pics!

Bernthal's Punisher was my favorite character to come out of the Netflix shows, and my two favorite seasons are DD S2 and Punisher S1 because of it.

I got this figure, but I didn't pull the trigger on DD fast enough when he was in stock, but I do still plan to pick him up too at some point.

I've never seen the shows but a guy was selling both DD and Punisher piss cheap so I picked them up.
