I know I'm alone here but.... overtime! Again? In both games!

Jabba torments me.

I am no longer an active collector of 1/6 scale figures, so take this with the proverbial grain of salt, but I think this piece is easily more impressive than 3 or 4 individual figures sitting on a shelf. In that sense the value is there. You just have to think about whether you like Jabba well enough to devote that much space and money to him.
Chiming in to your highly popular post lol. Just want to say it reminded me of two people that came over and saw my display room in the last 4 years. These people knew nothing about 1/6 figures. When they walked over to my 1/6 collection (I circulate about 70 figures at any given time); both were drawn right to Jabba and their throne. It's not even in the center of the collection..but it stuck out the most to them.

A few friends of mine also commented on it. So I have to say (from my experiences), there's just something about it that captivates. Even the non Star Wars fans out there recognize Jabba. So with its massive size and highly detailed throne..it's a major eye catcher. I even owned the Illusive Concepts maquette (I know it's a tad larger than 1/6 scale) before getting into 1/6 Star Wars stuff with Sideshow back in the day.

Oooooooooooh.... hopes dashed.... I really thought the Chiefs were going to pull this off.

I thought in OT both teams had to have possession for a time. That damn Brady.

Anyway, Jabba.... still tempted.... still want him.... still must find a way....

Maybe if the Rams win the Super Bowl...?

:lol

Ahhhhh, OK. I thought I heard that both teams need to posses... missed the part about 'unless its a TD'.

Thanks for clearing that up, it was bugging me.

Yeah, they changed it up a bit. Both teams are allowed a possession, but the first team to score a TD wins (even if it’s on a pick-6). I think they did that to end dragging OT out too long and to make it more exciting.

I just got a shipping quote (for kicks) from alter-ego to ship this to Indiana and it was 194.00!
Im like the Chiefs with this, defeated and out.

$194 :rotfl

That's nearly the cost of a figure. For once, SS has the cheaper shipping.

I really don't see BBTS honoring its $4 shipping on this item. But I'm waiting to hear.

SS shipping is $29?? I when it was around $21 for K-2S0

Based on what they say on their page about the $4 flat rate shipping, I don’t see why this would be an exception (I mean, they literally say no product exceptions.)

I agree... I emailed them to confirm. Waiting to hear back tomorrow morning. Hopefully still no CA Tax. If so I’m all in!

Yeah, well I'd be happy if that's true. Best deal would be no tax and $4 ship. The loss of $40 Reward Points is negated by the cheap shipping.

Well that's cheaper than I expected. Expected about $40-$50.

Still, the reward points get gobbled up by the CA tax. I think BBTS is still the cheaper deal, assuming they are $4 and there's no tax to the shipping destination. That could change by the time BBTS ships though.

BBTS may honor $4 shipping but it might take 3 weeks to get him once shipped, it just took almost 2 weeks for me to get a NECA figure from them.

There is another way: Timewalker

They are giving you the SS reward points off the purchase price. ($40 off) AND they ship via Sideshow, so for us CAs as long as the shipping is under $35 then Timewalker would be a better deal than BBTS.

Does anyone know the real shipping cost to CA for Jabba yet?

im in MA and shipping was $54

Seems like a huge disadvantage for whoever loses the toss.

It’s not ideal, but it used to be you could just get to the 30-yard line, kick a field goal and win. At least now if you only do that the other team has a chance. Shame the Chiefs didn’t pull it out.

Back to Jabba, my remaining SS reward points just cleared. A whopping $37 in total now. :lol

Still not 100% sure I should order, but I did just buy a Bib on eBay. :panic:

Ian you have the original version of jabba don't you ? I still would like to get the new version as well and try to sell the old version I`m not sure I want to sell it on ebay though

I literally just used my reward points on Krennic PO. $84.

I didn't think Jabba was really something I needed to worry about.

But at TW, for what its worth, he's $40 cheaper. That puts the whole set-up at $755. A bit better.
