Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher. In this action-packed animated film, two of Marvel's most popular characters, Black Widow (voiced by Jennifer Carpenter) and the Punisher (voiced by Brian Bloom) team up alongside Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and the rest of the Avengers. The release will be available for purchase on March 25th.

Official synopsis: After interfering with a top secret mission, THE PUNISHER is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. AGENT and AVENGER, BLACK WIDOW. At the orders of Director Nick Fury, Punisher and Black Widow are sent on a mission to stop LEVIATHAN, a global terrorist organization that plans to sell stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. technology to the highest bidder. Now, the vigilante and spy must work together to prevent this technology from falling into the wrong hands. The fate of the world, and of the AVENGERS, hangs in the balance.

Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher was directed by Kenichi Shimizu, with a story by Marjorie Liu and screenplay by Mitsutaka Hirota. It was produced by Marvel, Sony Pictures Entertainment (Japan) Inc. and Madhouse Inc.

Ugh, I watched the Iron Man anime and it was Japanese only, didn't really like it so I'm not sure about this.
 
The story itself just didn't draw me in, it being Japanese only wasn't the problem (tho it did make reading the subtitles during action scenes a PITA).

I hear ya. I have friends who swear by subtitles over dubbed, but I just don't see the point in buying an anime to read what's going on. The whole point of watching something like that is to enjoy the art, otherwise, I'd just buy the manga.
