Wow.. Putting the 4th Doc and Amy in the same sentence. That hurts. I thought the fourth Doc had it's problems but it is still a fantastic figure.

I agree. TB is, and always will be, IMO, the best Dr., and I think this figure is cool. Is it perfect... Maybe not. But I'm glad I got it, and I'll probably get the smiling face HS when it comes out, too.

I think everyone agrees it's a nice piece, what's debatable is whether it's worth the Hot Toys pricetag. But it's probably hard for a startup like Big Chief to do it for less.

It's the edition size. Hot Toys makes more than 1000 of a given figure. If they made runs this small their price per fig would be a heck of a lot higher.

I think the factory guys just couldn't capture his personality, which is why the paint job drained the figure of 'Tomness'.

Personally I love this figure, It's not perfect but then nothing is. Definitely picking up an the new head though. Does anyone know if Big Chief are planning on a 1/6th TARDIS?

The raw sculpt was bang on, painted... not so much. The eyes need to be more subtle, we already have a bug-eyed version.

The painted version is going for this...


I'd prefer something like this...

I hate to love this less than the unpainted sculpt, but IMHO the eyes are off for two reasons - one, the iris is too blue, making the pupil too prominent, two, the iris is too small on each eye. This means the colours are slightly garish and gives it an uncanny valley effect.

I looked on BCS website and I didn't see a link to order it. It is from them right, not just a fan made custom? How do we order one?
