If you are tired of the purple-ish colored lights on Vader, here is an easy fix I decided to do to mine since I already had this paint on hand.
If you have a local hobby store see if they carry Tamiya Acrylic Paints and get the Clear Red X-27. This will provide a red color that is transparent and allow for the lights to still shine through the paint. It looks like that is what Sideshow did but with one poorly applied coat.
Also, pick up a fine point brush and a slightly wider brush for the big chest box light. With the fine brush, you can get into the coin slot lights and the side of the buttons on the belt (can be a little difficult with the arm position of Vader) It might be easier to get the "coin slots" by laying Vader on his back. I haven't got quite that far yet.
Apply a coat of paint and let it dry. Turn the lights on and check for the desired effect. Apply additional coats as needed until you get the desired red light effects.
Then sit back and enjoy!
