The second Women Of Dynamite statue is being solicited for September and this time the focus is on Purgatori. This Chaos Comics character has been thriving over with Dynamite this over the last two years and now she is part of the deal the publisher has made with The Brewing Factory. The piece is based off of the work of the late Michael Turner and sculpted by Jason Smith.

Women of Dynamite: Purgatori Statue
Price: $189.99
Art: Jason Smith (sculptor), Michael Turner (artist)
ON SALE DATE: September 30

The vampire goddess from Egypt, rising from the pits of Hell, has never looked so desirable… or deadly! Based on the work of comics sensation Michael Turner (Fathom, Witchblade) and sculpted by the ever-talented Jason Smith, the bat-winged beauty of Chaos! Comics joins the brand-new Women of Dynamite line of statues. Hand-painted on cold-cast porcelain, the Purgatori statue stands approximately 12″ (nearly 14″ to the tips of her wings!) in height with a 6″ base, with each individually numbered as part of a Limited Edition run of 1994 statues (celebrating the debut year of Chaos! Comics). The Women of Dynamite: Purgatori statue comes packaged in a four-color box with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This crimson-skinned killer makes an alluring addition to every hardcore fiend’s collection!

I'm surprised Red Sonja wasn't the next one up after Vampirella but Purgatori looks really good. I kinda wish they would have made the line completely based on Campbell's art--though Turner is definitely an artist who should have some statues based on his work.

I also expected Red Sonja to be next. But Purgatori is a nice surprise. Hope they do a Miss Fury down the line.

Wow!!! I'm really liking this line!

Two statues based on the art of two of my favorite artists! Hell yessss!

I have Vampirella on order ...and I'll get this one, too.

This is beautiful! I'm all in!

Yeah, I'm slightly bummed that it isn't strictly to one artist, but this piece looks great!

It is turning to be an awesome line - wish we got 1/5 or 1/4 though. That'd be phenomenal!

I'd love it if these were 1/4 scale too. I suppose getting them at 1/6 just means I have room for more of them.

I feel the same way ...I wish it was 1/4, too. But I'm ok with 1/6 ...and thankfully these look great. So I'm not passing them up.

Makes me wonder, tho, who the next artist will be and which character? I'm thinking Sonja next.

Ok, had to post this on this thread.

Thanks to Pork Chop Express for the pic of the proto.

If a 1/4 scale Michael Turner is made and it looks just as good as this, I'll get that too. But for now this will do, as it looks fantastic regardless of scale or height.

:exactly: The scale its at works just fine for me, I wouldn't want it larger. I just hope the end product looks like the proto.
