Well in the spirit of the new bond release, whats your favorite bond movie, and why, lets have a discussion of the favorites. Me personaly its down to Casino Royal and Goldeneye, what about you?

Goldfinger is the best Bond Movie IMO. Brilliant plot, greatest villain Auric Goldfinger, amazing Bond girls, best car; Aston Martin DB5, just has everything, including Connery at his peak as Bond...

If I HAD to pick a favorite I would pick Goldeneye...

But... All of my favorites are

Goldeneye
Goldfinger
Casino Royal
The Spy Who Loved Me

My least favorite Bonds are..

Diamonds are Forever
Moonraker
Die Another Day

I think I'd have to rank them by Bond actor. Not sure I can pick on overall favorite.

Connery= Goldfinger
Lazenby= Duh
Moore= Spy Who Loved Me (I think, not sure on Moore)
Dalton= License to Kill
Brosnan= Goldeneye
Craig= Duh

If I had to pick a favorite I guess it might be Goldeneye, but I might be biased because I grew up loving that N64 game of it. Casion Royale is very good though. I especially love the black and white, grainy intro.

Maybe we should do a series of polls on each actor that is applicable. We could have a Connery, Moore, Dalton, and Brosnan polls. Then take each top poll winner and see which Bond is the favorite overall (which would include Craig and Lazenby's one film each).

Hmm...

My favorites:

Casino Royale
Living Daylights
OHMSS
From Russia With Love
For Your Eyes Only

My least favorites:

Die Another Day
Diamonds Are Forever
View To A Kill

Old School all the way guys! :lol
Plus, I am too thorough to just list a few (cracks knuckles...), gotta take 'em all down!

I prefer my Bonds mean as hell and not all this fake style and suave crap. One liners without backbone are just dull to me.
I wanna scrapper! A dude that can take it to 'em!

So...In order of my Faves (and why):

From Russia with Love
- Perfect spy movie with 60's cold war vibe. Too cool!
On Her Majesty's Secret Service - best adaptation from the books. best score
Casino Royale - back to basics Bond! Raw, but great stuff!
Goldfinger - Style incarnate. Bond sashays though and still gets the girl!
Thunderball - Bond on a roll! Has it all. Best one liners and Domino!!!
Dr No - Raw Connery, but best kill in series, "You've had your six"
Living Daylights - after a lifetime of Moore, a guy like in the novels
You Only Live Twice - silly, but Connery in form, and cool tunes
Licence to Kill - mean as hell and out for justice. Loved it
Diamonds are Forever - getting sillier. Still, fat Connery is better than none.
For Your Eyes Only - Moore's best outing. Kicked car/kicked a$$.
Live and Let Die - mean score!, Yaphet, Solitaire, Moore scrapped. Not bad
Man With the Golden Gun - One name - Christopher Lee!
Never say Never Again - Ok, not canon, but cool to see Connery back.
Tomorrow Never Dies - Best of Brosnan's in my opinion. Plus, had J Pryce.
Goldeneye - not bad. Some silly moments, but great opening credits
Octo***** - Better than I used to think. Had some sillyness still...
Spy Who Loved Me - Stylish as hell for 70's. Silly, but stylish fun.
Moonraker - too silly. Jaws talks. Blah! Loose the space crap!
A View to a Kill - terrible Moore flick. Had Walken, thank God or last place!
The World is Not Enough - dumb plot, dumb girl. Sorry, hard to watch.
Die Another Day - OK opening half, then I see ice...I'm done. Surfing Tsunamis and invisible cars??? Broom Brosnan and get someone else. He never held me in place.

There's my take. Whole other list order for songs and girls etc. They all have rankings. :D
Quick takes:
Best score: OHMSS! Awesome stuff!
Best song: Thunderball (Hey! It's Tom Jones!)
Best Bond Girl: Tracey in OHMSS (He only married her!!!) But, Tatiana Romanova in FRWL has always messed up my head! Same with Solitaire and Domino! :monkey5

NEXT! :D

yea we should do that, though im not familiar with making polls.

I'd be more than happy to do it. Just say the word. I could do them like once a day or week like Tom. I'd start with Connery.

Excellent.

BTW, I expect to see Octopuussy on everyone's "worst" list. I mean, come on, that one was horrible to the bone. Dated (even then), terribly shot, slow, no style, and Bond in a gorilla suit AND that silly 'knife throwers' suit. Ugh!

Spell check on golDfinger bro, no biggie, just a heads up...

Yeah I noticed that RIGHT after I submitted the poll :lol I added a little notice to my post about it. It just had to happen to the one that just about everyone is gone to vote for though huh? :lol

Poor Roger, he just dropped to the the fourth best Bond... or the third worst depending on how you look at it, unless you count Niven. :lol

I'm only going to count the offical Bonds, so no Peter Sellers, Mike Myers, or Woody Allen.

No Jimmy Bond? :lol

I'd love a 1/6 Moneypenny from that terrible film though -- she was hot! (gross fanboy leer)

You should do polls for best Bond Babe... and best Bond villain too.
