Kenner 1/6 Speeder Bike and Scout weathering

LOL it is on my list........
but my list is MASSIVE.

I am sticking to ANH for a while. Plus I don't have any Rebel troops!

But I have rough sketches and what would a bunker be with out a Scout Walker!!

Loving that scout trooper Dorgs he does look great. Im looking forward to seeing the finished bike as well.

I dont blame you for taking a break from the falcon for a bit it is a mammoth of a job by the looks of it.

Right nearly time to sleep, been a busy day. And to look as gorgeous as I do I need a lot of sleep!! And I mean a lot.

Anyway...

I was determined to get at least one side done tonight and I also wanted to do a couple of comparison shots against the unpainted speeder.

Looks great m8, but when did u get 3 of them i only have 1 but room is an issue so its nps.

When i do mine i was thinking of getting rid of that clear stand and inserting a metal rod and then disguising it in undergrowth on a dio. SS have said the biker scout is high on there of to do list so i would love a few of them on a dio with the bike.

I've got three of them all weathered up. I really do want to get rid of the stands. Very annoying. gotta figure out a way to get them displayed and allow them to change display angles and what not with just 1 stand.

Also, I'd like to get the control panel and the handlebars rebuilt in something more sturdy.

Wish i could get pictures cept that I'm not in singapore(home) right now.

Great work as always DG!
I redid one for a forum member over at rebelscum a while ago. Never fully put it back together after I repainted it but you get the idea.
Fun piece to repaint.

Ryan that is one mighty fine re-paint. I love the matt brown finish, so cool, did you airbrush it?

DG- I did indeed use an airbrush. Can get some great results using one especially with the weathering, highlighting certain parts etc. So much easier to lay down the base coat too.

huuummm... I have an airbrush but have no idea what to do with it. Its the whole cleaning it and getting the paint mix right that I struggle with.

One day I will sit down and figure it out... Then probably think sod it I should have done this years ago. LOL

Ha. Yeah it's a pain to mix the paint and keep clean...worth it though!
