what happened to the right arm ? looks longer than the left..

I would say that looks like its from the suit material tucked under the armpit on one side and not the other. I wanted to suggest tighting the material so it hugs the arms better but i also think unless u do a whole new under suit in a 4 way stretch fabric I think u would lose articulation. Ethier that or 1 shoulder joint is setting higher than the other

You forced my hand

:lol :yess: gotta love arrows!

No, that's as accidental byproduct of the mod. I'll fix it when I get home.

:clap:clap Such a huge improvement. Those lines needed that!! Bravo for getting that accomplished.

What do u have to finish up with this? Looks great!

In that pic, the shoulder pads look good but still.. too big.

I wonder if we could get new sets 3dprinted by somebody on the board??
Make them accurate shape and size, curvature, and preferably in 2 pieces just like the 1:1... Any takers on that potential project?

My goal is for this figure to always be the DX12. Just the DX12 being the best it can be. So I won't be doing any custom parts, just modding the hell out of it. :lol

Right now the only part not DX12 is the face plate, and I hope to replace that with the DX12 BW mouth eventually.

This is why I said, 'not exactly a finished product'. He wasn't really futzed for that pic. The arms are the same length, trust me.

Awesome maglor!! Did you video it? Do you finally see what I was trying to describe? Lol great job man

No video, but plenty of pics. :)

Ok, but when Void n I find somebody to do them and u see how awsome it is.. Ur gonna want some! :rotfl:rotfl

Just kidding, but really urs does look great and I definately respect where ur coming from.

I'm still confused on what's being done with the chest? Is it the lines that everyone was complaining about in the DX12 that weren't symmetrical?

I'm trying to think of a way to sculpt them properly and have them in 2 pieces, but just like the eyes, I'm afriad at the moment :lol

I'm gonna tear this thing apart when it arrives!

Funny that I'm more excited by the prospect of modding the thing than actually the thing itself.

Fixed the crooked chest plate and made the shoulders and gauntlets appear smaller.

I want to paint my DX eye lids but they aren't as prominent as some others I've seen. Plus I don't have a steady hand. If only I had the cojones to open up the PERS.

I've tried out several mods and I will post pics once I get the custom cape. I did mean it when I said I liked him as is but after seeing all these ideas to improve him, I decided to give them a try for fun since at heart I am a customizer as well. :)

Here is a list of the mods I did....

1. DX02 neutral face on the DX12
2. Glove mod
3. Gauntlet mod to fit over the gloves
4. Elbow pad mod (I went with Maglor's method with seperating the elbow pads and glued them on to the body suit.)
5. Repositioning the ab armor
6. Boots mod
7. Custom cape which is on the way.
8. Shoulder pad mod to appear less bulky
9. Eye lids mod (I did not sculpt anything. I just painted them.) I do not know if this is a QC issue across the board because mine didn't appear to be as pink or fleshy looking as others I have seen pics here. So I didn't go over board. I suttly painted them to be more of a solid black.

The only mods I didn't do is the chest plate mod which I agree is not worth it in my eyes. It doesn't look crooked to me or if it is, I cannot tell and it doesn't bother me. I just don't see the need for that one. I also did not do the neck mod. I agree with Maglor that with the custom cape it looks fine as is. However I will know better once I have my cape and put it on him. I wanted to get other people's opinions on this one. Do most people feel the neck looks better shortened? This is another mod that I don't see the need for but I am curious what others think.

Sounds like yours is nearly identical to mine. :)

I still do go back and forth about the neck a bit. It depends on how I futz the cape. If I pile it up on his shoulders the stock neck looks fine, but if I flatten it out on the shoulders the neck looks too long. For me, it's a matter of deciding what kind of shoulder shape I want...

OK thanks for the feedback. I will wait and see how he looks once I get the cape. I do tend to like the cape flatten down so maybe the neck mod will happen.

I will post pics once done.

This thread is awesome, and I think that, once I get the figure, I'm going to follow through with a lot of these mods. At this point, these things are so mass produced that I don't have to worry about messing up the value, and I now buy them with the sole intention of having them in my collection. Therefore, if it's going to be in my collection, it's going to look as good as I can get it.
