Re: Kaustic Plastik: HEROIK MUSCLE BODY ***PRODUCTION PICTURES PAGE 26!!!!

It depends on the position of the crook of the elbow, & hand position as well. Toni's pic has the crook of the elbow almost facing directly at us, so the natural position for hands to take, when consciously putting the elbow crook in that position, would be palms facing us. You could face your palms towards your hips, to give a similar shape to Toni's "After" pic, but that feels awkward, & more like your posing for something. Also, a front on pic of a natural standing stance (elbow crook slightly turned inwards), would give a similar shape to that in Toni's "After" pic. But I'm simply going on the arm position shown in the pic :D

Edit: Why you need puny Skiman's advice?

I'm kidding :lol

I don't think the arms are wrong guys. I think KP assembled them correctly. With the arms in the position shown in Toni's pic, the brachioradialis muscle should be on the outside (the more curvy/bulky part of the forearm), & the FCU muscle (the flatter part of the forearm) should be on the inside. Which to me, looks to be the way KP assembled it.

If you look at Toni's "After" pic, you see it more on the left arm (our right), it looks to me like the brachioradialis muscle is on the inside, which would be incorrect.

This might help explain what I'm saying a bit more :D

That's what I think anyway. But whatever makes you happy guys :D

As I said several time, the body is assembled EXACTLY how we designed.
You explanation it's totally correct.
But I also said that of course everybody can place it as prefer :)
As I said, this hobby is nice because everybody can customize it and make it in a way that prefer!
So if somebody like to switch the forearms, why not? ;)

Re: Kaustic Plastik: HEROIK MUSCLE BODY ***PRODUCTION PICTURES PAGE 26!!!!

Got 3 Heroik bodies, all three forearms are in the opposite side (at least I think so)

1. heat gun till the rubber plastic is softer
2. pull both of the forearms out
3. switch them to the opposite side
DONE!

Hope the picture help..... if this is correct, Kaustic Plastik need major Quality Control. Not everyone will be able to switch out the arms easily.....

No mate, you received assembled in the right position.
but if you want to switch it, it's about you!
I'm happy if you are happy..

Re: Kaustic Plastik: HEROIK MUSCLE BODY ***PRODUCTION PICTURES PAGE 26!!!!

either way on the forearms its a bit of a mystery. hard to tell what looks right lol. something doesnt look right regardless if its on the right way or not. :/

my only complaint about this body is the legs are to skinny when compared to the upper body. otherwise its a decent body

Making the legs bigger would mean have almost nothing compatible to dress with it.
If you look around there is lot of bashes using KP02 body for Superman, Batman, or other super heroes, and you will see that this size of legs it's simple PERFECT for this kind of subject.
A quadriceps in relaxed position will look as our leg looks.
Simulate a quadriceps in tension, it means having something that nobody can use!! Probably will be in the market 2 or 3 pairs of pants that can fit on a real size of a body builder quadriceps in tension!!

Jep, exactly the reason why I'm glad that the legs aren't more muscular. However, adding a thigh adapter like with the advanced TT would be cool IMO so that you can still make the legs more muscular and proportionate when you have the right clothes (my Bane is currently using the Art Saves Punisher pants, which fit perfectly with the thigh adapters in place).

Re: Kaustic Plastik: HEROIK MUSCLE BODY ***PRODUCTION PICTURES PAGE 26!!!!

Hey Kaustic, I was wondering if you could answer my earlier question. I have 2 of these that just arrived and I was wondering if the arm can come off at the elbow like the Hot Toys Terminator bodies can? I see people talking about switching the forearms around. Is that how they did it? I don't want to try and accidently break it if it isn't meant to pop off.

Thanks

Hey Ron, take a coffee cup, nuke it for 3 minutes, dip the arm in there for about 30 seconds. Pops right off.

*hold the arm not the body while pulling*

Ski :1-1:

Cool thanks Ski. I was planning on heating it but I wanted to make sure it was even possible before attempting it. Don't want to break this beauty after just getting it. :lol Thanks!!

One last question. Is the Hot Toys arms compatible to pop in this body? I am noticing some differences with the T1 HT body and this one not fitting just right.

Ops! Sorry mate, didn't noticed your post.
Of course you can plug out the arm at the elbow.

There is only one simple rule that you have to follow to do this: Use an hairdryer
Turn on the Hairdryer, and place the direction of the "gun" directly on the part you like to pull out.
In this case, place it in front of the Elbow mechanism.
Place at around 5-10 cm from the elbow, so with the hot air going directly on the part.

Stay 3-5 minutes with this, and wait until the Plastic is very hot.
If you feel that the plastic is Hot before 3-5 minutes it's ok anyway!

You will notice that now the elbow are REALLY EASY to plug off! :)

You can use the same tricks for a lot of parts of the body :)

Thanks Kaustic, I am familiar with the hair dryer trick. I customize and do it all the time. :)

I just wanted to make sure it is possible before trying it and not accidently breaking it.

I think you will have no problem using the T1 arms.
I noticed in another forum some customers that made exactly what you like to do (so switch the Terminator forearm with KP02 forearm)

Re: Kaustic Plastik: HEROIK MUSCLE BODY ***PRODUCTION PICTURES PAGE 26!!!!

For those of you that have this do the arms only bend approx. 90 degrees like the HT muscle bodies or do they bend a bit more? I was thinking about getting one of these for Bane (TDKR) but was hoping I could possibly get the pose of him holding his vest with this Kaustic body. Thanks in advance! :wave

Yes, another good way to plug out the parts! :)
But I still prefer the good old Hairdryer ;)
