I actually learned about Kony a few years ago, after reading The Unknown Soldier from Vertigo comics. The author, Joshua Dysart, spent time in Uganda, and incorporated a lot of what he saw and experienced into the book. It is an extremely powerful story, and brought my attention to a very important issue. Kony is a monster, and I hope that he's stopped soon.

Exactly. It's easy to say this is old news, but maybe if you had shared that, more would have know about it. As as far as 'someone else will take his place', maybe they won't be so quick to it they see people aren't just going to stand on the sideline and allow it.

i think even show bands like fall out boy tried and did a bit on their "me and you" video few years back if i remember correctly. its not that he's unnoticed, he didnt get that top spot for being a sick individual if he got unnoticed. even bbc had a documentary about those african kids condition and it had some bits on LRA too. awareness is essential, but mainstream media barely covers such.

its hard to police something like that in a 3rd world with unstable government structure; and you cant expect USA to step in and clean their shat up like they have an obligation to do so. they got famine, war and pestilence brewing there....begs the question, so what do we do?
