Ok so I have a bit of a problem with youtube for the past 3 days. I can't get it to work, every time I enter the site it freezes and when I click anything my computer just states that youtube is not responding.

Now before you say its likely just your computer I will say this, I can go anywhere else on the internet with no problems, video sites and all. I also tried unplugging and reconnecting my modem and router with no change. I have also restarted my computer multible time again with no change:dunno

Here's where it gets really weird, when I first enter the youtube site I can click any tab for about 3-5 seconds before it freezes, so I was able to use this to sign out of my youtube account.......and what do you know youtube works fine now, no freezing or anything, However when I sign back in it just freezes up again:gah:

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? It would be greatly appreciated:pray:

Delete all your cookies for YouTube. And in the future an easy way to sign out of a site is just to delete all your cookies for that site. That might work.

Could be a problem with your browser's video player add-ons, flash, realplayer etc. you might have to update or reinstall them. Maybe.

OK so I have successfully removed all cookies and that did not solve the issue, thanks guys for the suggestions BTW:1-1:

I did update my adobe stuff and security protection too, I am still trying to figure out how to up-date my video player, not sure if I got the flash or realplayer one or both. Any idea on how to up-date them:panic:

Like I said though every other website works fine, even other video sites, I'm lost here on what's causing this:dunno

Ok so I was able to run a check on all add-on software like realplayer and flash, no issues found. so with that done and cookies cleared I'm still unable to get youtube to work properly:gah:

Open to any other ideas you guys might have:wave

What browser are you using? If you have another browser, try opening youtube with that to see if the same thing happens.

Bingo, a buddy of mine Jimmie Dimmick here on the freaks PM'd me about that and suggested I switch to mozzilla firefox browser, and I'm happy to report it worked, YouTube restored:blissy

I want to thank you guys for you help and support in helping me trouble shoot the issue, very much appriciated:hi5:

It worked in the sense that you can now watch youtube vids again, but you haven't actually addressed the source of the problem. Tut tut!

This is true, but I'm not sure what else I could try, I even defragmented what ever that means:lol
