Here I found the quote

Erick Sosa liked a comment of mine about XM doing DBZ on facebook earlier today. Then commented to the effect that XM could really do well with DBZ "trust me :)"

Uh oh. Is **** about to go down? I feel like ****'s about to go down.

Dragon Ball is a long awaited one. I love the horny grandfather on turtle, he is hillarious :lol

Yes, that is a definite possibility V8, depending on your source. But first, you must understand the rules of the game. And most importantly, be extremely clear about it.

It isn't XM's fault that their license is restricted and they are unable to function or retail as per companies with global licenses. That in itself alters the game. Completely.

And as I've mentioned previously, you can't save all the alley cats. From the standpoint of a business, you cater to your specific audience; and in this case, it's the regions they are eligible to sell to. You focus on producing a good, quality product and along the way, if permissible, cater to fan input. But the bottomline of a business is to stay afloat and see a sustainable profit - the end must justify the means - and not run a charity. Logical and fair.

At the end of the day, hands are being tied. There are limitations. And that is the crux of the matter. You need to sell; to see the returns to continue forth. And that simply means selling to whomever coughs out the cash. Simple and fundamental concept of capitalism.

So who's fault is it then that they haven't gone after nor paid for a global license.

I think you are letting them off the hook with this prestige ordering thing too. They already said they have a 1k cap per statue correct? So they hint they are doing a popular character and speculators can snatch up most of the run before it's even announced. Yeah, that's going to go well.

Anyone that's a big fan of this company should wake up and demand they not do this.

Dude. You need to know what you are talking about before you post something abrasive and fall flat on your face. I wouldn't even deign to address the rest of your comments, save the first.

You don't just choose to 'go after' OR 'pay for a global license'. Doesn't work like that. I suggest you do yourself some homework. The rest is moot.

This is TBOLT we are talking about TCSC....TBOLT! If anything remotely starting with an X gets mentioned...he tends to put up a mighty powerful Juggernaut type forcefield to block all XM talk.

Heaven forbid you throw SS in a same sentence with XM. Damn....WW3 and 4 seem like a plausible possibility in the future.

Ok then. Ignore my point because of the source.

I agree that XM needs to do what they need to do to make sure they sell their product. However, each statue (except for Hulk) is selling out. It's already expensive enough for someone in the States to get an XM statue--if I have to go through the secondary market because the statues are getting picked up before I can get one from somewhere like Simply Toys, then I'm out. The statues are awesome but the price to me is already pushing it. Hopefully, this new program won't make it more difficult to keep collecting them.

On Statue Forum a XM Rep. already explained that they only set aside a small amount of statues for sell on their web site. The bulk of their statues goes out to 3rd parties like Simple Toys. Now these 3rd parties are not allowed to sell statues until the official Pre-Order day. Also it does flippers no good to buy from XM because they have a limit of 1 statue per person. So it's not like a flipper can go onto their site and buy 100 statues to flip before anyone else can buy them.

Also to buy from XM Studios direct you have to live in one of the countries their licensed to sell to.

I don't think they are limiting sales to individuals. Otherwise we wouldn't have forum members from Singapore being able to source more than one.

Like I said before, if I can order from somewhere like Simply Toys I'm good. I don't care how the PO process goes as long as I have a decent opportunity to get one. However, I don't see the point in becoming a Prestige Member if I live in the States and can't PO from XM anyway.

Same problem here. Soon I'll have my Hulk and go up to two.
