X-Men Story Arc Question...

I've been having trouble remembering the name of the story arc, or exactly which X-Book it took place in, but I'm looking for a story about a young mutant who has powers where he explodes. The explosions start small, but as his powers start developing, the explosions get worse. It gets to the point that the next explosion will kill him (and potentially cause a great deal of destruction) so Cannonball flies him out over the ocean while he explodes the final time.

I remember reading the arc before and want to read it again. My memory is a little fuzzy on its exact details. I couldn't find it in any of the books I have, and have tried searching it online, but no success. Hoping someone on here could help me figure out the arc, or issues, so I can get the TPB or pick up the issues.

That's the one I thought it was - its either in TPB Hope, Dominant Species or Holy War, I think, would have to go back through them to find out for def
