you should try the TFW2005 Forum I think you'll have a better shot there. That's where I got my Takara MP-10 for less than retail

There also seems to be talk of an MP-10 reissue for a "year of the horse" release (some time in Dec/Jan). If you are willing to wait on that, you can avoid the nutty after market prices.
