Why are the ratchet knees so hard to move and pose?

One thing that really liked about the Pro bodies of the GI Joe line was that they were sturdy and easy to pose. The newer bodies, however, are a pain to pose. I'm finding the new ratchet knees frustratingly stiff to move and that they limit positioning to a large extent.

Is there any chance that Sideshow will abandon or greatly improve this ratcheting joint?

say no to ratchet knees...they really need to go back to the way they had it before (just keep all the joints tight).Once they got the tighter joints straightened out,there were no problems

I think 'ratchet' is self explanatory. It's all in the pronunciation.
