What medium do you use to add to a sculpt?

Say you have a completed painted headsculpt and want to add hair to it. What material do you sculpt the hair out of? Would it be durable?
 
2 part epoxy or something like sculpey would be the two most common choices.

the epoxy air dries, so with a painted head you'd probably be safest using that. Although Sculpey bakes at a low enough temperature that paint work **should** be safe.
 
What's the 2 part epoxy called? is it sculpting epoxy or something? That's different than the 2 part glue I'm assuming.
 
There are a lot of different kinds: miliput, magic sculpt, etc.

I find them a bit difficult to use, but have seen some impressive work done by others with them.
