Are Samples just like Artist Proofs? any major difference between them and statues in the regular numbered lines?

Proofs sometimes have better paint apps since they are used for display at conventions and such. But can also be more dinged up since they get handled more. Its really a crap shoot on what you will get when buying artist proofs/samples.

Sometimes samples/proofs will have a feature or paint app not found in the production version since things can change from prototype to production.

I would, ent mind pickin SilentSurfer sample/artist proof of jason part 3 premium formats up :D that piece is going to be a huge different than the numbered piece we,ll recieve :monkey2
Its still going to be awesome but need some beating.....like King said you can drop on a good one thats not been handled or end up with one thats been knocked about!!

They're pre-production pieces, usually produced in low numbers by the factory as a sort of "test run" of the production. The artist and other decision-makers get these pieces and can identify any glaring errors or problems and correct them before the factory goes into full-fledged production.

While some samples appear nearly identical to the finished pieces, there can be significant differences in paint and/or design if major issues were discovered.

A sample piece may be made in China, oh wait they are all made in China.

A sample piece may be remade in China, oh wait they are all remade in China too.
