1) Elderscrolls 3: Morrowind (PC) [with LOTS of mods!)
2) Final Fantasy 7 (PS1)
3) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
4) Resident Evil 2 (PS2)
5) Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 (XBOX) 2 games, I know

You've listed practically all of the games that I like! . Shadow of the Colossus, was by far, one of the best games for the PS2. It was very under-rated, in my opinion.

Definitely. Such a masterpiece of a game. Everyone needs to play it. Forget to mention Shinobi on my honorables. Replaying that on virtual console was such a blast a while ago.

1. MS Flight Simulator series (FS2004 and FSX are great.)
2. Falcon 4.0 series (complex but authentic)
3. Call of Duty 2 (It's still a classic that I play online)
4. Half Life series (probably the best gaming series IMHO.)
5. Quake 2 (It really started the whole online FPS craze. Great memories. And the "BFG"!!)

What is the different between those games and video games that are strategy based just like those?

And...Monopoly and Risk aren't mindless games for the uneducated? I would have had more respect for you if you would have said Diplomacy as a board game or even Catan for that matter which requires more strategy then Risk and Monopoly....n00b.

That's really hard. I suppose it depends on how you consider the list...favorite right now? or favorite at the time? Some games have a huge impact on you, and it's a lasting impact, but you can't go back and really play them again...like GoldenEye. Great at the time, can't play it now...

That said, my list:
