Ive sourced the items for a display cabinet project im doing

https://www.shopfittingwarehouse.co.uk/ - 3 lengths of chrome - 8 t junctions and 16 fixings £50

Ive sourced hinges, pulls and locks via :

https://www.technologylk.com/ - 6 x hinges, pulls and locks £100

The glass im getting locally 4 & 5 mm toughened with ground edges and lined with 3 mirrors at the back - £450

and Im getting a local joiner / friend to build it for me £150

This is what Im attempting :

A little avi to get the thing right in my head the chrome bars are shown coming out in this and its in 3 units as its gonna be very large and slot together

Well thats the hope

afterall its gonna cost me £750 to put together - and thats not with lights :google

and as my wife keeps saying "all this for some friggin dollies"

I had a shelf about the right size in the built-in cabinet I'm using as a computer desk. I extended the shelf out a bit with a board, made some stairs for either side of the throne, and then painted the whole deal with a sandstone texture paint.

When I move I'll most likely do a similar set-up inside an IKEA Pax wardrobe unit, which is available with shelves 39 inches wide and 22 inches deep; so far it's the only freestanding shelf-type thing I'm aware of that really has room to display Jabba's throne inside.
