Weathered Kenner droids

It seemed like it might need some work when I looked at it, but its hard to tell how much when its just pieces in a box.

HI Mark,
can i give you a little tip about the astromech droids?

You should cut off the moulded wires on the feets when you put "real" wires on it ..do the same mistake on my droids...and after painting:

Btw. Love your R2-Q2 ..must do that 2 !

Put the droid ( before you pull of the legs ) in hot water..(~10 minutes) then you can rip the legs easy off

Toy Towers is right and washing your droids before you paint em can be a good idea to remove any grease but I is a lazy git and never do, LOL

Chakas droids getting there but it is slow going as the yellow is the worse at covering and has to be put on thin to avoid bumps and brush marks. SO about 6 coats will do.... that means it should be done by May LOL

So that explains why your droids are so dirty...

I mean, just look at what happened to GLA-D15... altho that might be partly DG's fault...

looks good!

You might consider spraypainting the yellow as an undercoat next time, and brushing the blue on over it where needed....

R2B1 looks great mate, thanks sooo much. Man, look at all those clones, turned out well.

I really am liking that K3PO. Is that other R5 droid going to be a Hoth droid as well??
