Those really were the greatest designs. I still think the rubber figures they made for the second movie are the best Playmates Toys attempt at making turtles. I can't wait for the movie classics either. I think Michelangelo has the best HS of the group. I bought a trench coat and fedora from a marvel The Thing figure and plan on recreating Raph from movie 1 when he meets Casey.

I've been doing some work similar to Ironmann, but in the basic 4" action figure scale. Pretty happy with the results. Still have to do their weapons. I'm also going to do Shredder and Foot Soldier. I've posted some pics! Happy to hear thoughts

I think Raph and Mike have pretty weird eye/face sculpts. Leo is almost too expressionless. Don feels good (but missing his glasses! I gotta figure out a good way to make them). Overall I like the sculpts quite a bit but the complete lack of paint doesn't do them any favors!

There's a seller on ebay that makes 1:12 scale glasses but they actually look a bit smaller than 1:12. I'll see if I can find the link.

You might need to cut them in half in the middle, extend them and then tape them back together. So they sit over the eyes (being further apart than a humans) and it'll look more screen accurate too.

And here's MIKEY! He's actually unfinished at the moment. I ordered a 1/6 scale Crazy Owners hoodie that I'll add. I'll end up cutting off the plastic on and add the scaled one by next week or so (once it comes in). To me, this was the weakest turtle design of the 4. I think I salvaged what I could. I think he looks better but he's still the weakest sculpt IMO. Anyways, He got the same treatment as the Leo and Raph I posted a few pages back. I added tape to his left leg like in the promo pics. Added matte finish to the pants to make them look more worn. If you take the time and really work with this sculpt, you can start to see some resemblance of the movie CGI. Added the scar on his chin as well. Feedback welcomed as usual. These 11" figs really take paint well and look great next to your 1/6 scale figs.

They are pretty fun to paint! Just grab your favorite turtle design and try it out. Amazon has them for $22 right now. I'll bet the go down in price. The shoulder joints are tight and try to rub the paint off constantly so put varnish there as soon as you paint it.
