This is how 12" Anakin should look like...

Re-read the old fable of the fox and the grapes, then ignore these people. They're inflamed by your apparent budget and are failing to appreciate your persistence. Good for you for tracking down the maker of this figure.

Congratulations on the acquisition of a very rare collectible. I hope you've got a suitable display case; it deserves one. It will be a great conversation piece for years to come, because anyone who sees it in the future will be unlikely to have ever seen one in person. Figures are interesting, dammit.

I think he looks great, the wild hair is more accurate than the nicely coiffed Anakin we're all getting. And the light-up saber is too cool. His lips aren't too dark either!

But his arms are too long...

That is one awesome figure!
Congrats on your haul.

Considering it's a scratch built figure, I don't think the price is outrageous. It is extremely expensive, but there's enough people willing to pay almost the same for a statue produced in a factory...

The likeness is not all there, but it's not worse than SST's, but with "real" hair and an awesome paint job. The materials used are gorgeous (maybe not exactly accurate) and the lightsaber is simply amazing! The boots seem to be made of leather as well, how cool is that?
So you don't like the styling of the hair? Well, here's the really cool part: you can style it yourself!

As a matter of fact, if I were willing to pay that kind of money for a figure, I would have no qualms about buying a SST Anakin and customize the hell out of both to get the ultimate figure.
As it is, I'm happy to get my SST figure and hope that SST will manage a better paint app for the SDCC exclusive.

I really like this custom figure. The "real" hair concept is cool but I'm still not sure if I like how it turned out here.

Unfortunately, it appears that Anakin lopped off his thumb with his lightsaber...

Yeah, it will probably look wonderful once you have a good display... and I guess it's nice to have something so rare and all...

I know that it's waaaaay better than anything I could ever dream to create, so I guess I can't judge. :monkey5

But I still think that sculpted hair would have been the way to go..

That looks like Hayden right?

And, for adults only: (thats not Hayden at all!)

I dont think the maker is making anymore of it. It actually took me a month to convince the maker (through Kojun and a translator)

I dont think this will need a display case because it comes with its own case made of wood and glass.

Some of those pics really show off Hayden's pouty lips!! Awesome head!

It's a fantastic piece. I'm jealous beyond words. This is one of those figures that must stand alone. It mustn't be displayed among other figures. That would lessen it's effect.

I think it is unfair to compare custom works to figures that are mass-produced, even in limited quantities. They are completely different animals.

It looks great, the sculpt is good (maybe a little bit to wide, just needs a little narrowing). But the hair is terrible, though I must say that it's connected well. I could see it going for $200, but not up to $550.

I'd pay 350$ for it....And I dont think the hair is that bad....looks like Hayden's

i agree 100%^. incredible piece. it may have been better to use a Saran type hair rather than the mohair tho. and i'd thought it was built on a NEO GUY Volks bod but looks like he scratch built the bod too. $550 aint bad for this
