Depp seems and looks out of place in a film like this. Looks like he's phoning in that performance.

I think a straight laced action hero type is lost on Depp, he is far too left field, looks ok still

I read that apparently the Depp role was meant for Tom Cruise and Charlize Theron was originally intended for Jolie's character until both those actors dropped out of the film.

I'd rather it have been Theron and Depp. Actually I agree with Wofford, Depp looks out of place here...but would Tom Cruise have been better? I dunno.
