For anyone questioning its authenticity it would be easy to semi-prove. ABC.com offers full episodes of their shows. Modern Family would be the easiest to find, not to mention the article also mentions some episode numbers.

I just saw the commercial with the dog so I can confirm the newspaper is in that as well. So that's two.
