Ugh, I have to go back on those posters. I cant believe no one is commenting on how ____ty they are.

First poster- The big HUGE over lapping ____ty design that ruins the entire image, distracts the viewer from everything, and is just poorly placed.
The font isnt proffesional looking, it looks like some random ass font from the text files on PS.

And the whole bottom is wrong. The Universal Logo wouldnt be that big in the middle of the damn poster anyway.

The second one....yeah no. Obvious picture of Egypt on a sunset, with once again, bad cheap font.

And even if it's not Egypt, nothing states that it's from Mexico.

And the final, and total give away...8.01.10

Well....first of all, the movie doesnt even have a script yet, let alone in production. Second, apperently they'll release a movie on a Sunday. Lmao.

Sorry, but I find this whole "fake poster" thing to be very very lame. Very lame indeed.

K...bored rant over. :D

Yeah, Somehow I do not think Universal will release the film on a Sunday.:lol:rotfl Yes and the "fake poster" thing is lame. I cannot remember where I found these.

Part 1 was a great sort of Indy esque flick.

Part 2 was passable.

Part 3 was an abomination.

Not sure that this movie will be anything more then a paycheck for Frasier who's been in about 6 flops in a row now.

I would not call the 3rd film an abomination, What the film makers are doing is Mummys from all over the world, Not just Egypt. As we all know, Mummys have been found in many parts of the world. :D

Yeah, I understand what they are doing Nickie---they just arent doing it well anymore. Heck, even the later Chaney Mummy movies suffered a little bit in their later runs. The absolute definitive version of a Mummy film has got to be Hammer's Mummy. A seriously under rated gem in Hammer's arsenal before they went soft core porn in the 70's.:slap

The first was a well-done blend of action, comedy and horror. The second was the perfect blend of inane overuse of CGI and ridiculousness and the third was entertaining. I know I'm in the minority, but I thought the Chinese setting worked as a better backdrop to the cheesey, over the top action than the previous Egyptian one. Egypt lends itself to atmospheric, suspenseful horror, not retarded CGI Rock/Scorprion monsters.

Yeah, why is this thread even in horror? :lol The Indy section could use some company.

This series hasn't had a bit of horror in it since the first film, and even then, it wasn't much in the scary department.
