Hi, huge Bond fan here and thought I'd chime in since I hadn't seen another thread about this-

Recieved thd Brosnan legacy figure today. I saw an old fashioned size SSC box on my doorstep and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it could be. SW doesn't use that shaped box... And there aren't any other 12" figures due any time is there? Maybe Giles? Nah, too soon...

But finally turning the box over I saw "Legacy Brosnan." I'd completely forgotten about him - shows how excited I am about it.

I have to say - really like the box design. Obviously they'll all come in similar boxes and there's a cut out at the bottom front where a casino chip shows through with the "007" logo. But talk about cost cutting - the box is generic! They'll use this exact same box for all the Legacy figures, with only the casino chip being a different color.

As for Brosnan - if you thought the first Pierce was tan - this guy's been under a Kmart sun lamp too long. More on the orange side than tan.

But you can see why the ladies like Mr. Bond - you know what they say about large hands? And his hands are HUGE! I haven't measured, but just eyeballing his hands with the original Brosnan, they seem to be 1 1/2 times the size. It could be just the sleeves of the suit riding up though that gives that illusion.

Accessories - 2 guns, cigs, vodka bottle, martini glass - all re-use. The suit looks okay although the thread used for the stitching is a different color than the cloth and sticks out.

But overall this is a great idea to kill the line! People will be returning these and cancelling all over the place and they can point to the Legacies and say, "Look! Bond doesn't sell!"

What a disappointment. Mine is on the way. I think it will arrive tomorrow.:monkey4

Sideshow has mishandled the whole brand for you years now. I wish they'd let it go. Maybe a company with some interest in the line will give it a go when Bond 22 comes out.

I'be got the Moore and Lazenby on order to finish my Bonds in Tuxes shelf.

I'm gonna swap out the Moore white jacket for a spare Brosnan Tux Jacket I have.

Aww, that's disappointing to hear. Mine will be hear Monday and I'm still looking forward to him, but hopefully the others will be better. Hopefully the others aren't that far off from shipping.

P.S. What's your user name from? It sounds familiar and for the life of me I can't place it.

Pics please. :D

Your wish is my yada yada yada....

I like him. No, he's not the most exciting figure that Sideshow has done, but I like having a Bond in an everyday, modern suit... makes much more sense for dio-stories. I wish they were doing a 1:6 scale Connery in the Thunderball PF outfit.

Oh man, that paint looks absolutely atrocious. The eyebrows are too big. Looks more like Ted Danson than Pierce Brosnan. Time to call da Figuremaster!

They're not quite so bad in person. I think my pictures, especially the third one, are getting a slight bit of distortion from the wide-angle setting I was using. Could still be better, though.

Okay, it's not so bad. I'm a bit more anxious to get this one again. I really want the Lazenby and Connery most of all from this set anyway.

Oh yeah, and the Craig. That should be out, ah.........NEVER.

Well, that's... disappointing. I canceled it just because of the suprise shipping they pulled on this one (side note: didn't we used to get 30 day notices? I didn't quite enjoy getting a 5 day notice that forced me to actually call Sideshow to cancel it.), but I think that may have been a good choice either way. I mean, I'll pick it up cheaper eventually, since I've kept up with the entire line... even that dreadful Wai-Lin.

Frankly, I couldn't care less if they butcher Brosnan, Moore, and Connery in this line, they're simply not important to me since they're simply rehashes and really close to what we already have. Now, Lazenby in the tux? Fantastic, we've needed it. Dalton, if done properly with the right amount of effort (doubtful, sadly), has the potential to the far and away the most interesting thing to come out of this line. ... though, still pissed about keeping the LTK hair in the sculpt.

Looks like they used the hands from the star wars line. I was gonna buy these but not any more. With poor sales these figures are going to receive we have no hope of a Daniel Craig being made. :(

Hopefully someone else will pick up the line for Bond 22. I'm sure a company will try to get the line if Sideshow lets it go. A newer company that would devote some time to it could do great things.

I canceled mine a week ago and I'm glad I did. this is the most Iconic Brosnan Bond look; but they just did a horrendous job at executing it. The brighter colored thread around the hem of the bottom of the jacket is terrible. And that paint is laughable.
I really wanted a business suit Brosnan Bond, looks like I best spend my money on more Colonial Marines and stop dreaming of the rocket pack. We got the Power Loader in Aliens way before we ever came close to the rocket pack for 1:6 James Bond which is a shame Sideshow.

Horrible paintjob and the horribly large SW hands to boot! Opening this thread I was hoping it'd turn out well enough to buy.

I hate to speak for someone else, but if you ask me "Grawp" is Hagrid's brother in the Harry Potter books.

Unless there is another one, that's probably why it sounded familiar. Thanks!
