A huge step was taken at the end of 2016 when 'The General Entertainment Authority' announced the beginning of the first ever Saudi Comic-Con in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia to be held at the mid of February 2017, organized by TIME entertainment company.
These kinds of events brought the Saudi people together, sharing their interests and thoughts about what they love and what they do.
A couple of years ago, TIME entertainment brought us WWE Live! in both cities, Riyadh and Jeddah, for about 3 times. It was the beginning of a new step for the Saudi culture to experience live events and concerts inside the country.
Yesterday, I went to the SCC, and it was so much fun that even the tickets were all sold out before even the event starts! It was a three-days event, started on Thursday with two 'Game of Thrones' guests in the panel, Julian Glover and Charles Dance. Then on Friday, with the one and only Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad, and today the last day, with Mads Mikkelsen from Hannibal.
With other guests from The States, like the author of science fiction and fantasy, Maxwell A. Drake, who tweeted about it on his Twitter account (@MaxwellADrake). And also, he was a guest on an article for the Saudi local news (English article), here:

The event was surrounded by people with all ages and genders, from different countries and nationalities. To me, history was made in this first ever event that brought the comic fans and geeks like myself together in one area, and also with their favorite TV characters and great actors.
Here are some pictures taken from the event's official account on Twitter @Saudicomiccon and the fans:

A couple of pics that I took for Gus and Hannibal (Gus got that look when he used to say "Get back to work" lol):
Last but not least, Giancarlo tweeted this:
"Gus Fring at @Saudicomiccon and loving it!! Thanks #Jeddah for all the love!"
It was really fun to experience Comic-Con!
Until we meet in next year's SCC, thank you for watching!
