If you want some complete vehicles the X-Wing miniatures are pretty nice

I was going to suggest these, too. I have seen them in person and they look really cool. They don't take up a lot of space.

I would suggest these too. The detailing is pretty nice and they are weathered (perhaps too weathered).

I've got a nice 1/6 Star Wars collection going on, in fact I've sacrificed nearly all other 1/6 lines to focus on OT Star Wars. With a franchise like Star Wars some of the vehicles have become almost as iconic as the characters themselves. I'd like to slot some really nice vehicle models in amongst my collection of figures, obviously not in 1/6 scale though. Any recommendations for those of us looking for something like this but lacking in skill to assemble and paint models? Anything reasonably priced in the market that can go from box to shelf?

Yup. Just seconding what people are saying here, these are fab and look great straight out of the box too.

Have to add that the game is awesome and I've had X-Wing games with my wife and son who is only 8 but caught on quick and absolutely loves it!

The ships display beautifully and look great together.

My 8 year old son and I have been thinking about trying out the X-Wing miniatures game. The ships look great.

Others have mentioned the Hot Wheels line, and I would recommend that as well. They might slack on some detail and scale, but over all they are pretty nice, and I doubt any can get you the same bang for the buck.

The lego UCS ships are amazing, and look really good with the 1/6 collection.
The Tie Fighter is a stand out on the shelf.

yes I've been trying to find a good deal n that LEGO TIE FIGHTER set to display with my SS TIE pilot

The f-toys 1/144 scale ones were nice but hard to find now.
The x-wing babe figures are alone nice but inconsistent in scale and needs a better mix of vehicles.
I have always craved a consistent scaled range of decent models but that seems to never be happening

With some TLC the Mattel die cast line can look excellent. Here's an example of some work I did on Rey's Speeder.

I've got my figures on the same bookshelf as a few large Lego sets (as well as some books obviously) but I think I'm going to give 3.75 scale vehicle conversion a go. Got my eye on a few Snowspeeders and think I could weather up one of those to look pretty good. At least it does in my head... Hopefully the fact I've never put a model kit together or painted one before doesn't dent things too much. How hard can it be to grey something up and put scorch marks on it?

Go for it you won't regret it. :wink1:

With a little help for my wee fella's first few goes to now picking his own ships and load outs - I'm at the point where my Rebels side needs some reinforcements as his Scum and Villany ships wipe the floor most of the time.

I would suggest Bandai SW vehicles. They're pretty accurate in size, shape, proportions and details. You'd love them. They're snap-on so need for gluing. They also come with decals so no need for painting if you're not into that. But weathering them would make them look 100% better.

Here are a few of mine (I painted the figures and weathered the vehicles with hand brush & airbrush).
