Star Wars 1/6th...late to the party...where to begin??

Hey guys,

I've done so very well & been able to avoid getting back into Star Wars for a long time but just lately I've been doing stupid things like venturing into the Statues forum & re-watching the Clone Wars cartoon & this has done something I hoped wouldn't happen & re-ignited my love for the Franchise

So as I'm pretty late into the party but I'm just wondering which is the best way to get started.

Now the Mythos statue line is looking pretty tempting & I can still get Maul & Vader for reasonable prices but what I'm seriously considering is jumping in with the 1/6th scale figures as I know these are marginally cheaper than the Mythos statues & there are some cracking figures available

But my real question is where do I start??
Do I try to go back & buy up some older figures or do I jump in & pop pre-orders in for Grievous & Malgus & start focusing on new figures before I go back for older stuff?

Also is there a definitive list of all characters released in 1/6th that I could use as a kind of check list??
