Yeah a big well done to all the people who had the imagination and guts to mod GG and thanks for the pics also. :clap

Still waiting for him to hit the UK but hopefully not too long now.

Re-worked my Grievous some since getting him. I weathered him a bit more, worked on the eyes to be more screen accurate like others have done and I repainted the Lightsabers a fluorescent color to stand out more and look like they are lit under the right lighting. I touched up the pics a bit for effect...

Cool battle-damaged Grievous! :clap

I never realized just how filthy he was in the movie until I started looking hard at still images.

Thanks and yeah he does look battle damaged almost all the time which was my thinking when reworking him a bit.

I figured I would post this here too. As requested by Wor-Gar in the other Grievous thread here are some pics of Grievous with more natural light....

Looks great man! I'm a bit resistant to weathering mine as I do really like how he looks out of the box... but I'm sure with time I'll be right there with you guys. I did do the the neck mod Rory suggested and not only is it easy, but really makes a huge difference. I'll do the eyes next and then wait and see about the fins or weathering until I sit with him a bit more.

Sooner or later your little customizer voice from within will begin to speak to you and tell you to do it. :)

Eye Mod. The stock eyes just weren't catching the light in a way I like.
These are 8mm Dolfie Cat Eyes. These are really cheap and a good alternative to the $50 reptile eyes I originally wanted to use.
Pupil is a bit large...just looks like his pupils are a bit dilated
...which you can actually see happen when we first see him in ROTS.
Just Pull off the end. Comes off easily. I really like the depth these add.

Glue the end in the face plate. The back could be shaved down just a bit.

No special lighting. Just lamp light in the living room during the evening.

Cool idea Mark. Great work. Thanks for the info on these, I was looking for some smaller glass eyes for a different Grievous project I have started. I'm not sure I prefer the look of these to painted stock (don't know why) but great work nonetheless. I think it's the gold sheen that takes the toyish look off the SS stock versions? Wonder if a slight spray to the sides would improve them? I don't airbrush so don't know. Looks cool anyway. You mentioned 50$ reptilian eyes, any links? I've not found anything on ebay, are they for stuffed animals?

So I've been making a giant HT truetype with strange limb proportions... I still have to sand it down and sculpt it a bit.
Whoever can guess who this lanky fellow will be.. wins the internet.
