Statue Sideshow-Weta Saruman the White

This is one of my favorite pieces as well. The pedestal really sets him apart from the other figure statues. You know that you'll need to get Grima now. The pair are made for each other! lol.

The fingers are fragile but it's a great piece. I just got Grima yesterday.

@Josh son of Middle-earth,is this realy worth taking in the collection?
I found out by looking deeper into it,that it is even bigger then I expected.
I saw a photo on the web standing him next to to the Ringwraight from sideshow.
I always thought he was about the same size like Grimma is,and that one I have seen in real.
Saruman only through pictures,and his face didn't realy looked very good,but maybe it's cause he has his eyes closed and his face relaxed.
Shall I buy it,is it worth it?
I don't see Weta presenting another Saruman for now on short time.

I really like the piece myself. I think the likeness is quite good and the way the piece captures that scene is the cherry on top. Him and Grima together make for a nice set up.

It's so good, Christopher Lee has one himself. This is a quote from Richard Taylor, head of Weta, on the SSW collectibles DVD: 'he said to me: so many people have tried to capture my likeness and I've never wanted one of them, but yours I'll be happy to have on the mantelpiece!'

It's also the statue SSW showed to New Line to secure the rights to the whole line. It's beautiful and has history!

I bought this statue along with Frodo, Gandalf the Grey, and the Uruk Hai Scout Swordsman back in 2002 when Sideshow was having a 30% off everything sale. What a steal. Saruman has become my holy grail (King Elessar a close second). It is one of the best statues of all Middle Earth lines.

Yes. It's the classic "pictures don't do it justice" cliche with this piece. It is a very detailed sculpt, and the paint is on point too.
