Peeps that are Titans fans should be thrilled with the EX. That's probably the closest thing to a Beast Boy PF collectors will ever see. :lol

I just know them from original cartoon, so not an expert but having BB is a cool EX. Cooler EX they could have made but it's ok, BB with CB is also pretty cool also is pretty cool. Anyone think a Blackfire variant. I would get the original cartoon if you can on dvd super great show.

You can get the series on DVD

So the portrait is definitely removable. You can see in this pic where the hair on her head separates from the base.

They should've included a classic Perez Portrait.

Have to admit tho. They did a nice job hiding that seam in the back.

And of course she looks like a cosplayer dressed as Starfire. Hair and eyes are all wrong. Does anybody at sideshow even know who George Perez is? Because based off of the Deathstroker PF and now this cosplayer Starfire portrait....it sure as hell doesn't look like it.

Probably more than you, it’s the new earth starfire which matches exactly, while the Tweeterhead Starfire is based of George Pérez‘s original.

The fact somebody doesn’t know this much about the character just shows you how ignorant they are.

Of course only a true ignoramus chooses to ignore the classic version of a character that lasted almost 2 decades for a flash in the pan updated version of the character. But what else can I expect from such an ignorant novice?

The original character design came out in 1980, if you were a teen then you would be 50+ now which isn’t the average age for Sideshow collectors, or should they just make one identical to tweeterhead who specializes in original costumes and design?

It doesn't look like Michael Turner's Starfire either. :lol

Great argument there, explaining exactly why it doesn’t.

Member when Sideshow had great EXs?

They need to take XM’s hint and just to alternat portraits with all statues since people have different tastes and likes, if they did this with Psylocke and kept the original prototypes head I would have purchased it still.

115% totally classic or nothing?

Last time I checked a different topic, people are saying that cosplayers are looking better than the statue. Now, here it's the other way around.

Based on prior comments - I'm now waiting for comments about her chubbines and her over sexualisation. She is clearly not masculine or a weightlifter.

I think she looks great and that there will be two heads. Waiting for full reveal.

Some people here and a majority of people on statue forum just complain and b*tch about everything, negativity and toxicity are like a disease and just spread to everything, they’re like these old wives that sit there and complain about everything and anything, if people don’t like something they should say why and move on such as “I like the classic version better myself so I’ll pass or buy tweeterheads” instead we get all these cry babies.

What does it matter that Tweeter made a classic version of the character? If someone is a 1/4 collector, why would they care if Tweeter made a 1/6 classic Starfire? Since you are such a knowledgeable expert...what is the average age of sideshow's customers? And if you can't tell why this PF doesn't look like Turner's art on your own, why should anyone explain it to you?

Sideshow has chosen to go with the realistic route doing their statues now, it won’t look like a 2d comic no matter what they model them after actual people, it’s pointless arguing with somebody that complains about everything all the time.

No, it's pointless to argue with someone who thinks sideshow can do no wrong and is willing to accept anything they put out whether it's good or not. Classic Bats PF sold almost 10,000 units. How many units of the last Bats PF did sideshow sell? You may like wearing sequin pants with chaps or think they look great on your statues, but based on units sold, I'd say that the classic look is pretty popular among collectors.

All that said, I actually don't mind when sideshow does different costumes from different eras....so long as they release a classic version first and nail it. I don't have a problem with variety but let's not forget, sideshow built their business on classic PFs. EVERY DC PF released before Deathstroker was basically based on the classic versions of the characters. That's a lot of classic PFs sold and a lot of collections left hung out to dry. You may have no issue with sideshow's recent sideshowification of their PFs, that doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. And if customers who spent thousands of dollars on classic PF lineups want to voice their opinions or frustrations, so be it. I personally don't care how you feel about the topic. But hey, go on complaining about us complaining. Obviously you know what's best.
