It's a double whammy this week, with another sixth scale item to review. Not only that, but it's a horror related item...and it's from Sideshow. What are the odds? It took awhile for the tombstone for Beetlejuice to ship, but it's review time:

You can also find the review with the rest at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately, Michael's description of Sideshow as, "mediocrity at a premium price" really resonated with me. I'm hoping that the Star Wars bounty hunters come in without the issues of the last few figures I've purchased.

I don't know if its the ES, being a US based company or what... but the price is a real killer. Sideshow used to get a pass because you could argue if you paid $50 to $100 less than you could expect lower quality. But now they charge more than HT, Enterbay or anyone else but their products are consistently lower quality.

I'd guess if this were a HT release the set would have been at most $300 and would have had a better looking head, more accessories (maybe a 2nd head, or PERS) and a light up feature that didn't require you to pick up the tomb.

Fair point on Vader... that was awful :lol

Although my experience with BB-8 and some other light up features has been better.

Pretty lame release, even by Sideshow standards. Ash really does seem like an aberration thus far, in being something that is at least a pretty high quality release, even if it's still pretty overpriced.
