Shelving Help

I have been thinking of installing floating shelves to display some of my statues. Has anyone done this before? I would be securing them into my wall studs for support.

I saw the Ikea Lack, but I wasn't sure if there are better options. Any suggestions?

I would find other alternatives than the LACK ones.. They're literally CRAP .. They can't hold to much weight either..
