Sauron Premium Format - Sword broken

Hi,

my husband broke the sword of the Sauron Premium Format from Sideshow. I tried the superglue but that didn't work well.

I am thinking to order a new one for him.
So if I decide to order a new one I want to sell the one with the broken sword.

How much can I ask for that piece?

What are you thinking? I don't want to be greedy.

If it were me id be asking for around $750, assuming nothing else is wrong with it. Considering what someone would pay new shipped and taxed in they would get a good deal even with a broken sword.

You mean the little sword that attaches to the base or the Mace he holds in his hand?

I think the last damaged Sauron sold for ~$600 on eBay and it was not as bad as yours, although that was a good deal I think.

You do not want to use superglue. Use Gorilla glue as it bonds better.

If it's the sword in the base, call Sideshow, they might sell you one. If read about some collectors buying replacement parts before.

If you are talking about the Mace, I would have recommended drilling a small hole for a peg to give it some additional strength(depending on where the damage was)
