I think I remember that a while ago but forgot. I've seen Rousey's fights and she's awesome. Kind of cool that she's a big DBZ and anime fan. There's a picture of her from Halloween dressed as Sailor Moon.

Quite a few American celebrities are comic fans and I think fewer are anime fans though we hear about it more often nowadays. Different generations I suppose. Another big DBZ fan I know of is Madison Ivy. She talks a lot about DBZ on her Twitter.

Speaking of ROF, I'm hoping the Goku and Vegeta come with regular heads and the blue hair (pink hair too if it's even in the movie)

To me, unless proven otherwise, it's clear they're not going to announce either Ultimate Gohan, Super Buu, or Super Saiyan 4 Goku before the Resurrection of F figures. I have a feeling they're going to announce them closer mid/late April once the movie has been out in theaters for awhile.

Here are the "Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F" spoilers, according to those who watched it:
-Before he goes Golden, Frieza gets his ass kicked
-He goes Gold and starts winning.
-It becomes clear that Golden Frieza has the same weakness as before(he has an issue with stamina fighting at max power)
-Goku tries to take advantage of this but gets beaten by Golden Frieza (though part of it was being caught off guard by Sorbet)
-Vegeta steps in and gives Goku a senzu and then fights Frieza instead.
-Vegeta is winning but then Frieza blows up Earth thus killing Vegeta(Goku survives because he's over hanging out with Whis while watching Vegeta fight and he made a barrier)
-Whis uses his power to go back 3 minutes in time so Goku can finish Frieza off with a Kamehameha before he gets to blow up Earth.

It does sound an awful lot like almost every plot we've seen in dragon ball. Deus ex machina is always a bad idea. It's lazy writing. I wrote myself into a corner so I'll let a god solve the problem with magic... And another ****ing Kamehameha? Sounds new and different.

The funny thing is, Frieza was never a threat. Whis or Beerus would probably be able to eliminate him just by winking. The power levels are over the place ever since the "God" stuff came into effect. They need to make a new villain that is STRONGER than Whis. It's not fun if you know the strong guy is guaranteed to win. Whis seems to just be watching them train in this movie. Lazy writing to the maximum. Toriyama has officially lost his touch.

Thing with RoF is...

you're right prodigy, but I thought frieza's gold form WAS stronger, at least stronger than Beerus. I could've been okay with whis being the guy that's just sort of super distant and just seeing how much potential people have, perhaps looking for new students. But the fact that he meddles in it and then gives GOKU the final moment after all (or rather Toriyama does), **** man. This film is going to be the biggest bitchslap to Vegeta ever. Seriously, riots in the god damn street of vegeta's fanboy kingdom. Not only is he second, but he AGAIN misses out on what everybody wanted him to have. It even goes as far as that it makes Trunks' disposal of frieza, which was clearly done in his father's name, lose its strength of finality. At least in the end of the buu saga, it was such a worthy moment of vegeta, he admitted it, goku is the best, he could accept it, and his idea and strategy did save the world. But now, just because goku happened to be the first to fight and therefor be offplanet while frieza destroys the planet, he gets the final kill. That's not worthy, that's just ****ing luck and a writer's middle finger to vegeta.

I know DBZ has DeM's, but what bothers me most is that it has to be Goku, again. If this really is how it is, **** this film, **** the last film, **** new content, I'm turning my back on this continuation of DBZ. I'm tired, genuinely tired of Goku always being the hero above everybody else. Only once it was his son and in that same period as an intro it was Vegeta's son. Vegeta deserves the full main role and he's just never gonna get it it seems. Even when he's full on a z fighter and with the team now, he still by sheer happenstance gets robbed. ****. This.

i think it's a double-edged sword. if it wasn't for Toriyama still having an interest in Dragon Ball after all these years then we would still be discussing the hypothetical "what-if" sagas/characters that fans have been beating to death for the past couple of decades. the series officially ended in the mid 90's, long before some fans were even born! then suddenly Toriyama decided to return to it in 2008 when he did "Yo! Son Goku & Friends Return!!" and we've been getting more & more canon material ever since. so while some may be unhappy with his writing & plot details, you still gotta be thankful that we have NEW plots to discuss, controversial or not. otherwise we'd still be dissecting the Cell Saga or whatever over and over and over. "hey wasnt it awesome when Gohan & Goku did the father/son kamehameha?"

oh yeah, and i think it was already confirmed by Beerus that there are stronger beings than him & Whis. The 11 other Gods of Destruction in the 11 other universes have yet to be revealed...

Unfortunately this isn't surprising to me. I would have been shocked if he had given Vegeta the big win. Toriyama has said in interviews that he doesn't like Vegeta. Which to me, as a huge fan of the character, is crushing. He has such an incredible struggle. Goku's journey ends, in a way, with the Frieza saga. He obtains the super saiyan power and avenges his people. He kind of fades into the background after the frieza saga. The series shifts focus onto supporting characters, but Goku always comes through at the end to win the day, which can make some of the material feel quite repetitive.

but just in general, if I don't like something, be it a turn, a twist, a plot device, a character's look, whatever, doesn't matter, I'm not gonna be thankful for that at all. I have no use for that particular thing. I don't need more dragonball content per se at all to discuss. I have not a shred of desire to discuss a franchise whose content I don't like. In fact if it's something I don't like, it just annoys me, like GT. Even whether it's canon or not doesn't make that much of a difference. I'm not constantly on forums discussing DB, I don't care for what if's etc and whether they're resolved, if they're resolved in a way I don't like. And that is the risk of adding material, with anything. Many films and/or series are imo lessened by their sequels. Take True Blood, I loved that show's first 3 seasons, and even leaving much unanswered, I'd still now rather it'd ben cancelled back then, thasn the ****ing **** mess we got for 4 more seasons after it.

I'll appreciate about RoF what I have to appreciate and I'll be thankful for those things, but not for things that I don't like. Now if Toriyama being busy with dragonball is the reason this figure line exists, that's another thing. But I don't think it is, it's DBKai that made tamashii do a few of these, and honestly, do we really think they'd have never released any db figure? And the foreign market interest, way before BoG, invigorated and practically made this line alive. So no, I don't have to be thankful that Toriyama makes more material for DB necessarily at all. Only the things I appreciate about it.

exactly, Toriyama doesn't seem to want to actually progress his material. Goku remains the sole reason all of this happens, but also the sole reason it ends with the exception of the cell era and that just sucks, at least to us.

And if they make RoF Vegeta and we can wait at least 2 more years or more for buu era vegeta, **** that. Than Toriyama's new material just blocks an iconic character release.

It;s the same with this han solo origin film that apparently is coming. Like, seriously, that could hurt a lot of people. Even just recasting him. Honestly, leave iconic things alone unless you truly, TRULY see a way to make them MORE iconic, and thats very rare.

He brings Vegeta up just to knock him the hell down. It's straight up disrespectful to fans of Vegeta and the series overall. He trolls us by making it seem as if FINALLY our boy is gonna get a win, his chance in the spotlight that's NOT DANCING (I hated that scene so much), and then nope, it's just another Goku beats the bad guy outcome. Same formula over and over again. I'm choosing to ignore BOG/ROF and stick with the main 3 that I remember. Dragonball, DBZ, and GT in it's inconsistent, messy goodness.
