I'm hoping it's true, but I really doubt it will happen. I would buy all the damn Sideshow 1/6 scale Figures they make!

I would be very happy with this if its for 1/6th scale statues. If its not I'll be passing since I don't collect the 12" dolls I mean figures.

Oh, but you do collect 18" dolls don't you? :poke

nahhhh.....don't think this rumor is true. Wishful thinking on someones part.

Well, Sideshow SHOULD look into snagging this scale license then!
That is almost pure gold for them! They'll sell out every doll!

so it's something you read on another board that someone else posted?

Yeah, so grain of salt and all that. But, it got my wishbone all twitchy again.

i wonder what forum it was initially posted on?

Same here but there was no mention of that.

See they aren't dolls cause they don't have arms, legs, or a head that moves. They are statues.

Yes, they are dolls. Do you think Sideshow invented the Premium format figure? No, they did not invent it. My Mother has owned a few 18" tall un-poseable dolls for about 11 years already. Their heads and hands are porcelain, they have a un-poseable heavy gauge wire armature with a foam build up, have intricately detailed costumes, and are permanently attached to bases.
The premium figures originally were intended to have some limited poseability with the wire armatures, but have stopped using it because they really don't allow for any poseability.
Just because a clothed figure has no articulation doesn't mean it's not a doll.

You collect DOLLS Josh! :faq :belly :p

By the way, on Sideshow's schedule of events page;
www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=comiccon05_sched
They are having a special Star Wars announcement and a Product Reveal!
I hope that special Star Wars announcement is 1/6 scale full articulated figures (dolls)!!!

By the way, on Sideshow's schedule of events page....

I had to cancel my card night tomorrow so I can be around to check that out. I hope it's 1/6th.....

They are having a special Star Wars announcement and a Product Reveal!

The product reveal will almost certainly be the first in the series of SW 1:1 busts that are making their debut at the show. I think the "special announcement" will just be to show pics and details of the first ever product from this line.

As for 1/6 dolls, I don't want any, but I hope they get made for those that do want them. That is, as long as 1/4 Premium production is not slowed down at all, ala the GG Bust-Up fiasco that's going on right now.

I forgot all about the busts. I'm still hoping that we'll see 1/6 figures tomarrow.

That is, as long as 1/4 Premium production is not slowed down at all, ala the GG Bust-Up fiasco that's going on right now.
You know, I had the same exact worries about how the premium format figures will effect the 1/6 scale figures when it was first announced. Sideshow has had quite a few products ship late since then. But if their are any problems because of 1/6 SW, it would be much the same it has been for the past year.

I'm sure the reveal is the 1:1 bust(s). I'd forgotten about them since I'm not really interested.

The Special Announcement and Product revealed sounds to me like 2 different things.

Could be the reveal is the 1:1 bust but the Special Announcement could be something new....

That's me still twisting logic to point in the right direction! LOL!

Todd, you really are an optimist aren't you?

Product reveal - 1:1...
and announcement - 1/6 maybe?

LOL No, I don't even collect any of the SS PF figures. I only collect the SSW polystone statues and the GG polystone statues. I will get a few of the SS SW figures most likely but would really get some for sure if they did 1/6th scale statues. No dolls here :fart

As long as its not a couple of stinkin' tiles again, I'll be happy. Although having a big huge head on my coffee table isnt that jolly either....

I thought that might be the case from your nonspecific post, you didn't say that you wouldn't buy 1/4 figures, just not the 12" ones.

Oh, and the 3 3/4 Star Wars figures can be referred to as dolls and are not made of Polystone, so you do collect dolls of some type Josh. ;)
:belly

Well, those are action figures!!!! :p

Just to completely change the direction this thread was going in for a second, A Star Wars Medallion program would be a nice idea...and guaranteed to finish prematurely, comprising 16 in total with #16 entitled 'Duel of Light and Dark'. :lol :p
