Rogue One - 4/10

1 for the basic concept;
1 for the original director's style (before Disney took over);
1 for Chirrut and Baze - best characters;
1 for the music.

Star Wars TFA - 6/10

My 3rd viewing and I think this is the first time I've actually given it a score. Post-Rogue One my enjoyment of this film has definitely dropped. When it came out I was happy just to get a Star Wars film that didn't look like a cartoon and which had acting that was a step above lifeless. I forgave a lot of things that other people were pointing out but unfortunately those things now bug me too - namely the repetition of what we saw before. Rebels, Empire, Death Star (twice already, this essentially being the third), a reclusive Jedi who just packed in and gave up. It just feels like everything that happened in the OT was totally in vain, the victory in ROTJ squandered and undone without explanation. And with Han Solo being killed off in the midst of it all I feel like Marty McFly in the alternate reality 1985 of Back to the Future II

Rogue One definitely ruined TFA for me too. Speaking of which...

Rogue One second viewing - 7.5/10

Last Tango in Paris - 6/10 Love Brando but this was just an odd one for me
Hellraiser - 8/10
Hellraiser II - 7/10

White Christmas - 6/10 Loses points for the singing/dancing routines. Great story though.
Home Alone - 8/10 Borderline torture porn for kids lol.

White Christmas is amazing for those song and dance number when you realize almost all of it was done in one take. Nothing in film can compare to that these days , special effects or otherwise. But you have to have a love for dance numbers for that to start. I love Broadway shows and plays for the same reason.

I normally like watching dancing. What I don't like about that movie is the ridiculously skinny actress. She freaks me out with her 8 inch waste and stick legs. I should've mentioned that before lol.

Rogue One -9/10

Favorite Star Wars movie. Best cinematography in the franchise. Saving Private Ryan in space. Fight me.
