Star Trek Beyond - 6/10 - Too many space battles, weak villain, and no memorable moments or sequences.

The previous films were better, imo.

The Beastie Boys scene was pretty sweat though.

xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

7/10

American History X 6/10
(good film in there somewhere, they just dropped the ball)

The Devils Rejects 0/10

Been a LONG while since I gave out a zero.....but this film is total trash...and it has 4/5 on Amazon ratings..

Bad acting? Check
Bad Effects? Check
Horrible mismatched soundtrack? Check
Horrendous plot? Check
Stupid Characters? Check

That ending with free bird playing? WTF was that all about...were we suppose to feel something for torturous serial killers? The were just "free spirits"? Rob Zombie needs to stop making films....they are just basically torture porn.

I would have turned it off ...but it was basically background while I worked on this guy...

You have to see House of a 1000 Corpses for devils rejects to make sense and then see why its way high.

Blade Runner (the Final Cut): 8/10

Every few years I watch this one again, and it's a funny movie that has a different kind of effect on me every time I see it. In terms of the visuals, the effects, character design, and the universe that is created, you can't hardly top it. Same could be said for the way that the story develops, and for the way that the behaviors and personality characteristics of characters are explored. Two of the most effective films I've ever seen at creating mood--The Thing and Blade Runner--both came out in the same summer of '82. I also love the ambiguous ending, and the fact that there are no simple solutions to be found, and that the future is portrayed as a believably overpopulated, grungy, corporate dystopia. But there is a cold, intellectual approach to the film-making that keeps the audience at arms length from becoming really emotionally invested like you can be with other films. Sometimes that's more appealing to me than it is at others, but it is something that keeps it from reaching that top rung of films, like Alien for example, that provides this on top of doing everything else so well.

I am extremely curious to see what the sequel brings--good, bad, or other.

A Monster calls. Liam Neeson , Felicty Jones , Sigourney Weaver and Groot lol.

This movie is depressing only good thing i liked was the Monster A.K.A Groot. I rate it a 4.

xXx ROXC 6.5/10 at least you know what you're getting. Some good action hot women and Tony Jaa & Yen Ji-dan kicking some butt.Every action scene with Vin was CGI.Good CGI except a dirt bike motor cycle scene where he and Donnie are on the Ocean shooting the curl.Ride the wild Surf man.Shaka'

Because when the only thing you have going for you is physical action stuff it's always best to pass it all off to some guys behind a computer. They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

Split -7/10

Really enjoyed the movie. Mcavoy was incredible and the ending left my entire theater cheering.

Spoiler Spoiler:

Eh, that's kind of the mid movie twist, and there's no real explanation for it until the cool ending :lol

Then everything sort of makes sense. People are going to love the ending or hate but I think more people than not will love it.

Although i have seen the teaser for Blade Runner 2049, it came on as a trailer for xXx, after seeing it on the theater I was crying like a *****, it was emotional, the soundtrack for that shot teaser sound way better than I could Imagine, i felt that future in that short amount of time. To me Blade Runner is my favorite sci-fi movie of all time behind Dark City. What gets me its the oriental influenced future, LA Is culturally diverse in it the movie and what makes this over the top is the soundtrack to make you feel digested in it. Vangelis did an outstanding job making you feel the future.

I am not having any expectations and I am sad its not based on the actual sequel of Blade Runner 2: Edge of human for now, but i cant honestly decide if I like the Directors cut or the final Cut of this movie.
