Goran Parlov is a Croatian artist who has become one of Marvel's top Punisher artists. His art style is similar to John Buscema or Joe Kubert, that very brush-heavy style that's cartoony yet gritty, but like them he can draw damn near everything well. Check out his recent "Marvel Universe vs the Punisher" for a crazy I Am Legend retelling with a psychotic maniac as the hero.
Anyways, this figure is a WIP, but I'm trying to recreate a few of Parlov's key features in his drawings of Punisher: Thick neck, tree trunk arms, and a classical hero handsome face if that hero got old, stressed out, pumped too much iron.
Head is from Andy B's incredible DC Deluxe sculpts (best comic sculpts anywhere!!) but reshaped a little and with new hair. Body is a mash of DCD, Marvel, and DID.
