I just got this for my nephew, if it's any good I might pick it up for myself.
 
I picked it up, but haven't played it much yet. Love the idea and the battles look awesome. Great looking sprite based characters. It's very Japanese. That can be good or bad depending on your tastes.
 
I've been playing this for a few weeks. Story is awful, but the gameplay is wickedly addictive.
 
I bought it day 1, but have only played through the prologue so far. It's a cool concept on paper and in short bursts, but for me, the button mashing gets old.

It's more than button mashing...though not much more. Timing of hits is important to get criticals. Also chaining together combos from assist characters.
