I don't know if this goes here or not but I would really like other peoples input....

I've been very suspicious of 3 sellers right now that have been listing hot toys, The prices have been a little too good. and there are more than a few similarities....

First well start off with the sellers

Tonygoodiebag
https://myworld.ebay.com/tonygoodiebag?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
Nymary8787
https://myworld.ebay.com/nymary8787?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
tomadams00
https://myworld.ebay.com/tomadams00?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Now they are all in new york, They have all listed pretty much the same items... Tonygoodiebag and Tomadams00 have even used the same ironman picture in these 2 listings...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-TOYS-A...5490?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item3a7bba13c2

and in this listing by nymary8787 the Captain America picture was taken on the same floor/counter top as the Iron man above...

Tony and Mary also both have listed a pair of Lebron James Nikes, Not the same pair but,,, still ... All of them put READ in there title.

I bought something from 2 of them without even realizing it, I asked nymary if she was the same person as tonygoodiebag and if it was a scam and she replied "What ?? I'm legit and a girl" .. They have both also bought things from Toys R Us, Are new accounts and there only feedback is from there...I'm not worried about my money because I should be protected through Ebay and Paypal Please give me your feedback on this and tell me I'm not just going crazy!

I didn't even have to open the listings to know that this sounds suss.

First rule of eBay: if something sounds too good to be true then it most probably is.

Edit: just opened the links. Are you kidding me? :lol

Buyer Beware :lol

My wife and I take many pics of our auctions on the same counter, but I've been on Ebay for 15 years with no problems.

Lejuan said it best, If it sounds too good.

Also, shop the buyer. Thats why I buy so much crap on these boards second hand instead of the Bay. Most of the people here are good to deal with, even the a-holes. :wink1:

I know the saying but in the past I have gotten some REALLY good deals from no feedback sellers... Also they have both given me tracking numbers but they show nothing, Like they haven't been mailed yet... I know some times it takes a while for that to update (again giving them too much credit) I'm sure it's a scam.

Well they are not married or BF/GF in her bio it says she loves her boyfriend and in his listing it says the figure were from an EX and he just wants them gone, Her account was made after his.

All of there pics look legit, They aren't stock photos and I can't find anywhere they had been stolen from.

paypal doesn't always have your back. not always, I know people that were ripped off and Paypal never gave them their money back.

I am one of them
item is arrived broken and completely different from the list.
paypal reply was: sorry but you have got your item at all we can do nothing..:thud::thud::gah::gah:

eBay has a pretty solid buyer protection. Honestly, I'm surprised they don't have more restrictions on sellers with no feedback because of it.

I agree... A new user can sell up to $1000 a month, And in this case I believe said person has started more than one account.

my ex girlfriend liked to collect Monster High and this guy scammed like 10 people,
she would tell me how this guy kept posting them on ebay and never sending them. and for some reason they never got a refund either.
I don't know the full story maybe there was a reason that they were not able to get their refund but the guy never got in trouble either. I mean his account was cancelled but my ex or her friends never got her money back either.
