Polystone vs Resin

Hi

Has anyone made a polystone cast? My questions are:
Can someone shed some light on the ratios of resin and sand and how to go about mixing it?
What type of sand do you use as a filler?
Where can you buy the raw materials to make a polystone cast in the UK/Europe?
Most statue today are polystone, what are the benefits of using polystone over resin in the casting of a statue besides the fact that polystone gives it the weight,stone like appearance.
