Straight from Pop Toys!

I was just about to buy the Pangaea Samurai General version too. But this has so much real intricate detail, even the robe underneath has the pattern same as the real armor.
Even the sculpt is really really good!

just dunno if i can stand waiting a year for this to come out!

Wow I love all the detail on the inner layers. Already have the Pangaea version which I’m happy with but will try and pickup some parts on this new one. Mainly the robe and collar piece as Pangea used cheap foam for that.

It will be more than a year as this figure hasn’t gone up for preorder yet.

The POP Toys version does look superior. I do think the pants are a bit baggy though. I love the fact POP Toys went for the realism to have metal armor attached together with fabric strings just as real samurai armor has, but I worry about deuteriation over time. If those strings start fraying or breaking, its gonna a be a project of patience and needle work to re-connect armor.

I currently have the Pangaea version. It does need a few touches out of the box. Mainly the headsculpt. Shane Poole (1/6 hair salon on FB) did an amazing job!

I gave the armor a black wash and a gloss coat and I think that really made the armor come alive!

I have DID samurai since they were released in 2007-2008. No need to worry about strings breaking. If anything, metal oxidation should be a concern.

I was going to buy Pangaea Tom Cruise if it had been released on time. No point picking it up now when a superior version from Pop Toys will be released next year.
