Painting wrist pegs?

right. i took my dremel and machined out the sockets on the hands and wrists a little to avoid paint rub, i was just hoping someone had some tricks or tips in addition to that
 
Some wrist pegs will take dye... so in the past if I've had a character with say blue skin you can soak the peg in dye and it will change the color. However, not all wrist pegs are made from a plastic that will take dye. So it's hit or miss.
 
Try putting a few coats of varnish on top. Glossy is harder than matte. It will help protect the paint but also add thickness and may rub even though you dremeled out the wrists.
