Damn DarkArtist...that is a bad ass work you did there...Shoot I wish I could send mine to you and let you work your magic...

That face repaint is a vast improvement, DarkArtist! I mean, I didn't even think the regular paint was bad at all until I saw what it COULD be! It's all in the eyes!

the repaint makes the figure 100x better. i'm still gonna hold out for SS to make an episode II version though.

so many possibilities with this sculpt. looks awesome. thinking i might do this to the head with another one for a better ROTS

This image does give us an idea how Luke and Han in Stromtrooper disguise would look like.

I think it would be a damn fine idea to do a Luke/Han Stormtrooper, they should work on 'perfect' L+H sculpts and then release it with three heads, helmet, Luke and Han, so you could buy two and use the spare L +H heads on farmboy Luke and smuggler Han.

cool idea but probably wouldn't work so well since han is taller. beside, SS probably would release them separately to make more $$$

I bet someone will definitely fit ANH Luke and Han head sculpts onto the soon to be release Stromtroopers. One little issue though, Luke is a bit short for a trooper.:lol

They've got perfect Luke and Han sculpts, they just need better paint jobs on them.

No problem...use a Medicom Trooper for Luke, and a Sideshow for Han.

That obi is amazing im going to paint mine the same as soon as i get mine in the Uk. :rock
Did you put any kind of matt gloss on the armor after to stop the black rubbing off? Also did you do anything to the skin apart from paint the moles cause it looks. :chew
Keep up the great work :chew

Josh, your repaint brings out Ewan MUCH MORE than Sideshow's job.

Though I applaud Sideshow that they are FINALLY on the right track with these headsculpts and following Hot Toys' model of molding the head in skin-tone...it is a VAST improvement over their fully-painted heads of the past. They still need to work on some stuff to get closer to HT level (such as more facial pores, some minor coloring, bring the gloss down a little) but they are certainly looking A LOT BETTER.

I have to say this is sooooo very close to being a perfect figure, it is VERY disappointing that this figure suffers from loose limbs...ESPECIALLY in the ankles where it is so critical. I wish the lower shin-armor were a little tighter too. The end product is fantastic and easily one of Sideshow's best...but Sideshow NOW has to work on getting these new body's joints tight...whether it's a matter of the plastic type used (could it be different than Hot Toys?) or the way they're handled at the factory...it's NOT fun getting a figure that is meant to be poseable and HOLD those poses that instead falls over all the time.
