One thing I've learned is to never burn bridges. I wonder how this will effect him when he looks for another job/career.....

He won't work in the airline business again, but I'm betting he'll do just fine.

I actually know people who have been fired from every job that they've ever had and they just get hired somewhere else. For most jobs, they don't check anything.
