Need some head sculpt advice.

Hey guys, not sure if this is an unusual question but what are the tools needed and methods used if I wanted to shave off / down hair on a HS in order to fit a hat or helmet on it?

Never done this sort of modding before.

Stanley disposable craft knife, I can't do without them. A new one is best for slicing PVC, really. Can be sharpened, but never as good as new.

Of course doing that job you have to be certain there's enough meat to cut off to get your helmet on. There might not be.

It depends on what the head is made out of. On a resin head, filing /dremelling would be easier. For plastic/vinyl heads, as Fangs of Death suggested, together with his caveat.

Yep, a vinyl head you can cut off the bigger pieces, but you might still want to use a dremmel to smooth it out or for final shaping. Again that depends on the type of head. If it's resin you definitely would need a dremmel... probably use a cutting tool and then sanding drum to shape.
